Privacy Policy

Last Updated: February 2025 · Effective Immediately

At DecimalBinary.com, we believe your data belongs to you. All number conversions (Decimal, Binary, Octal, Hexadecimal) happen 100% locally inside your web browser. We do not transmit, log, record, or store any numbers, inputs, or conversion outputs on our servers.

01Information We Do NOT Collect

Unlike many web services that require backend processing, DecimalBinary.com is engineered as a static, client-side utility application. As a result:

02Client-Side Execution Architecture

When you enter a binary string, decimal number, octal value, or hexadecimal hash into our converter, the arithmetic is computed in real-time by your device's JavaScript runtime engine.

No HTTP POST/GET requests carrying your mathematical queries are transmitted over the network. You can even disconnect your internet connection after loading the page, and the converter will continue functioning uninterrupted.

03Local Storage & Preferences

We use your browser's localStorage solely to remember your chosen user interface preferences across sessions:

This data never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time through your browser's "Clear Browsing Data" menu.

04Standard Web Server Logs & Infrastructure

Like virtually every web property on the Internet, our web hosting provider and Content Delivery Network (CDN) may generate standard, automated server log entries when static assets (HTML, CSS, JS files, favicon icons) are requested.

These logs may contain:

These logs are used exclusively for security, server performance monitoring, load distribution, and diagnosing broken links.

05Third-Party Services & External Fonts

To deliver clean, readable typography across operating systems, our site loads Google Fonts (Inter and JetBrains Mono). When downloading font files, your browser interacts with Google's CDN servers in accordance with Google's privacy policy.

06Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR)

DecimalBinary.com is designed for general audiences, educational use, and software developers. Because we do not collect any personal identifying information, we are fully compliant with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and international data protection standards (GDPR, CCPA).

07Changes to This Policy

We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our technology or legal requirements. Any modifications will be posted directly to this page with an updated "Last Updated" timestamp.
